Description
Pasilla Chili is the fried ripe pepper pod of Capsicum annuum, L. of Ancho variety. Also known as Ancho Chili. It is dark burgundy to almost black in color and is slightly sweet, prune like aroma. Its flavor is slightly pungent. Its appearance is shiny, ridged surface up to 4 inches long. Approximately 3 inches wide with stem. Shelf life is up to six months.
